As I am always looking for ebooks to review for you readers out there, I happened to come across this one and it caught my eye – The Getting Pregnant Bible.  Well, with a title like that, I had to read it.  So, I purchased it and downloaded it and jumped into reading it.

My first thought of the ebook was “wow, 108 pages”.  That is really long for a bunch of ways on how to get pregnant.  But, I kept reading so I could provide a good, solid review for you to make your decision on.  There are a total of 19 chapters in the Getting Pregnant Bible and they cover everything from myths to fertility to ovulation calendars to signs and symptoms of pregnancy.  This is a good start, as it shows me that it's not just an ebook that is telling you to drink tea at 4 o'clock in the morning or stand on your head a half an hour before sex (trust me, I've seen ebooks like that before).

In the beginning chapter, the author tells you flat out that there is no guarantee that anything can get you pregnant and that sometimes you have to look at fertility and other ways of having children.  I really like that the author does not make any false claims that her book with guarantee that you'll become pregnant.  It is nice to see that the ebook is honest about that and the different steps that you may have to take.

From here, the ebooks moves on into where to start, such as talking to your doctor and making sure that you are healthy.  It goes on to talk about ovulation and how to calculate it, the effects of depression and age on your fertility, and how to increase your fertility.  The ebook also talks about how to deal with and get pregnant after both birth control and a miscarriage.  These are both subjects that most women want to know about, as both can be a problem when it comes to getting pregnant.

There is also a chapter on dealing with infertility and what your options are if this happens to you.  You will also find great advice on dealing with Mother's Day Blues while you are trying to get pregnant and even a humorous chapter that deals with some of the funnier things about getting pregnant.  And, last but not least, the last chapter is on the signs and symptoms of pregnancy and how to tell if you are pregnant.

Overall, I think that the Getting Pregnant Bible is a handy ebook when it comes to getting pregnant.  While it is a bit too long and there is some information that can be slimmed down a bit, the information that is there is good solid information that anyone can use to help them when they are trying to become pregnant.  So, if you are looking for a good ebook that will actually provide you with truthful information when it comes to getting pregnant and not just a bunch of wishes and promises, then this is a good choice.

When I first thought about getting pregnant, I knew that there was so much I needed to learn about.  From vitamins to what to eat to how to exercise... but I never dreamed there was so much to it.  I did not take the time to read all of the information when we finally started trying to get pregnant, I thought “It can't be that hard” and “Surely there isn't anything that we don't already know”.  So, we tried and tried and tried, and nothing.  It seemed that we would never get pregnant.  And, the longer that it took, and the longer that I wasn't pregnant, the more I wanted a baby.

So, I finally broke down and started researching on the web.  I went through several sites that offered information that I already knew, which didn't help.  I came across books that promised and guaranteed that I would get pregnant with their information – and yes, I even bought a couple – only to find that they didn't help at all, and I couldn't get my money back.  It seemed that I was at a loss and that things just weren't going to go how I wanted.  We both started getting depressed every time we saw one of our friend's babies and we had almost given up trying.

Then, one of my friends who is a writer, told me about the Getting Pregnant Bible.  While she wasn't trying to get pregnant, she had reviewed the ebook for her site.  She told me that it was actually really good and packed with information that would help me, including information on fertility treatments if I needed them.  She spoke so highly about the ebook that I decided to get online when I got home and buy a copy.

And I did just that.  When I first downloaded the book and opened it up, I was surprised at how long it was.  The other ebooks that I had purchased were maybe a fraction of the length that the Getting Pregnant Bible is.  I told my husband that I had gotten it and he actually sat down with me and read the whole section in the book that is just for Dad's and what they can do to help as well.  I didn't know that how a man eats and what he does during the day can actually contribute or take away from getting pregnant.

We both altered our diets, exercised, took vitamins, and make some changes to our lifestyle, just the way that the book recommended.  Now, I will tell you, it still took me a few months to get pregnant, it wasn't a miracle, overnight type of thing.  But, we did get pregnant finally and we have a beautiful little girl now.

Normally I am not the type to promote any type of ebook or such that I read online, but when my friends mention that they are trying to get pregnant, I don't hesitate to tell them about this book.  I think that it really helped us change our lifestyle so that we were both ready to have a baby.  And, I think that anyone out there who is trying to get pregnant should take a good look at the Getting Pregnant Bible. Everyone knows that there are tons of ebooks out there on the web that promise spectacular results when it comes to getting pregnant using their methods.  Well, let me tell you – the didn't work for me.  I bought tons of these, and the more that I went through with no results, the more I wished for some miracle to come along and help me get pregnant.  After over four years of trying, I gave up.  It wasn't going to happen, no matter how hard I wished.  But, I couldn't bring myself to talk to my husband about fertility treatments.  It seemed like I felt I would be questioning his manhood if I did that.

One afternoon while I was searching online for a gift for another friend's baby shower that I didn't want to go to, I came across an ad for The Getting Pregnant Bible.  At first, I ignored it and got a bit mad that none of those books had worked for me, so why even look at another one.  But, as I shopped through the site, I kept thinking about it.  So, I figured that I would just take a peek and see if this book was any different than the other “miracle” books that I had wasted my money on.

I went to the site and found that there was more crammed in this one book than half of the other books that I had already purchased. While I already knew most of the information about trying to get pregnant, such as the vitamins and diet changes, I didn't know that some of the stuff that Dad does while trying to get pregnant can make a huge difference.  (Of course, I didn't show my husband that part – I didn't want him to feel bad!)

But, here is where the book helped me.  The section on fertility treatments really gave me the boost that I needed to be confident enough to talk to my husband about them.  I read that section a few times and then over a nice, candlelit dinner one evening, I mentioned it to him.  He was really interested and was impressed that I had done some homework on it.  So, after dinner, I showed him the ebook, The Getting Pregnant Bible, and we sat down and read that part together.  He was all for going to a fertility doctor if that is what I wanted.  The next morning, I started calling around and made an appointment with a fertility clinic in town.

It did take us a couple of treatments before any happened, which the doctor had warned us about.  But, after the third treatment I began to get really sick.  When we went back to the fertility clinic for our check up, we found that I was indeed pregnant!  We were so excited!  I remember screaming and cheering and then crying and then throwing up.  It was one of the greatest moments of my life.

Being a health writer, I review a lot of ebooks over getting pregnant.  It seems to be one of the most popular subjects that I come across when it comes to women's health.  It also seems to be the subject that I find the most badly written ebooks about.  In fact, daily, I am amazed at some of the different ebooks that I see that swear by some special herb or position to help someone get pregnant.  So, normally, when I get the chance to review some of these books, I jump on them to give them a review and a rating to help potential buyers out there know which ones are good – and which are bad.

The Getting Pregnant Bible came across my radar just a week ago.  I couldn't wait to review it and see what this book promised.  I got a copy and downloaded it to my laptop so I could read it when I was out of town.  First of all, let me tell you ladies, this ebook is long – like 108 pages long.  That kind of amazed me, as they aren't pages filled with position diagrams or pictures and such, they are actually pages filled with information.  I very rarely see ebooks that are not full of fluff.  This actually started to change my mind a bit about the book itself.

When I got the chance to sit down and start to read the book, my first impression was pretty good.  At the very beginning of the ebook, the writer states very clearly that there are no promises or guarantees or miracles in this book and that everyone is different.  (You would be amazed to learn that this is the only ebook I've reviewed that says this.)  While there are some things here in this ebook that you can find on the web, such as the chapter on charting your ovulation, there are several others that you can't find very detailed information about without searching throughout the web and tons of different sites, such as the fertility information and how depression effects a woman's fertility.
There are several different chapters in the Getting Pregnant Bible that offer answers to questions that women have about getting pregnant, myths about getting pregnant, fertility questions, and more.  I am impressed that the author went to such lengths to provide truthful information about getting pregnant as well as answer some of the questions that women have.

Now, there are some areas of the book that are not quite as good as they could be.  First, is the length.  While this is both a good and bad point, there are some areas that can be condensed for a shorter read.  Second, I found some errors in the book when it comes to page numbers being off for the chapters in the Table of Contents.  While this is not a big deal, it's really just an inconvenience and not a big deal.  Third, the Signs and Symptoms of pregnancy could be a little longer to include some of the odder symptoms that women are starting to experience and worry that they aren't normal.

Overall, though, I give the Getting Pregnant Bible a solid 8.5 out of 10 rating as the book itself is well written and well put together.  I would recommend this ebook to any woman who is considering getting pregnant.

So you are thinking about getting pregnant?  You probably think that it is just a matter of time, and that there is nothing special involved in having a baby right?  After all, women all over the world get pregnant every day and have babies every day – so it cannot be that hard.  Well, there is actually a lot more that goes into getting pregnant and having a baby than you might think. In the Getting Pregnant Bible, you will find several different tips on changing your diet and exercise routine to help you be as healthy as possible before, during, and after you become pregnant to help make pregnancy easier on you, and the baby.  The writer goes through some of the best foods that you can eat and which ones you should avoid, including some types of salads, to help ensure that you are getting the most nutrients and vitamins out of the foods that you eat.

While there are some parts in this ebook that you can easily find on the web, such as how to calculate your ovulation cycle and how age effects getting pregnant, these parts are still very well written and you can learn a lot from them as well.  Readers will find that all of the sections of this ebook are well written and well researched to provide the best information that you can get on getting pregnant.

But, I have to admit – from a mother's standpoint – one of my favorite parts of this book is the section titled “Humor for Those That are Trying to Conceive”.  I have been through these things and wondered what the heck was going on as well, so this section is extremely funny to me.  If you have not had a child before, then this section might not seem as funny to you, but it will later on down the road.  Trust me.

To women who are trying to get pregnant, I would recommend the Getting Pregnant Bible to you as a great guide to follow during the process.  You can learn a lot from this ebook, even if you have had children before, I know that I did.
